In this section

This section describes how to specify the limit for when a SmartNIC is in PPS synchronization.

PPS in-synchronization limit

The TimeSyncPPSInSyncLimit parameter specifies the range in ns in which a SmartNIC is considered to be in PPS synchronization. The NtTimeSyncGlobalStatus parameter in the information stream shows the status. An event is generated when the status changes.

Select a value for TimeSyncPPSInSyncLimit according to the expected and acceptable stability of the reference.

ntservice.ini code lines

The syntax for the ntservice.ini code lines specifying the limit for when a SmartNIC is in PPS synchronization is:

'TimeSyncPPSInSyncLimit' '=' ( '1' |  '2' |  '3' |  ... | '0xFFFFFFFF' )

Default value

This table shows the default value.
