As Napatech IPUs have a maximum power consumption of 300 W, they must be installed in a PCIe slot capable of 75 W, and the auxiliary power connector must be used for additional power supply.
In this document
The auxiliary power connector of Napatech IPUs supports the PCIe CEM 5.0 12VHPWR power. 12VHPWR is a type of 12- and 4-pin connector, capable of delivering a maximum of 600 W power. When connecting a power cable to the auxiliary power connector of an IPU, it is important to ensure that the cable of the server is compatible.
This document includes descriptions of:
- GPU power cable kits of some servers with 12VHPWR ports.
- Converting to the 12VHPWR power in servers without 12VHPWR ports.
Note: This document applies to IPUs with the F207?X platform.
