Napatech IPUs running Link-Storage™ Software deliver infrastructure acceleration while also providing security isolation features. With this architecture, the CPU cores are freed up to handle applications and services on the host, as processing both the control plane and data plane is offloaded to the IPU with optimized software stacks compatible with industry standards.
In this document
Use this guide to get you up and running Napatech IPUs with Napatech Link-Storage™ Software. This document includes
descriptions of:
- How to install and detect a Napatech IPU in a server.
- How to program an FPGA image.
- How to install and configure Napatech Link-Storage™ Software for NVMe™/TCP offloading.
- How to test writing from the host to the attached disks on the target server using the fio tool.
Note: The installation and configuration procedures are tested and described on Fedora
38 for illustrative purposes. It is expected that derivatives of Red Hat Enterprise
Linux-based distributions will function similarly. It should be adjusted the process
accordingly for other Linux distributions.
