About this task

The imgctrl tool, once extracted from the package, does not require further installation. It is a self-contained binary with all components necessary to operate the Napatech PCIe SmartNICs.

Procedure

  1. Copy the latest imgctrl tool package from supportportal.napatech.com (the Napatech Support Portal). Always use the latest available copy as the tool is fully backwards compatible.
  2. Extract the archived package to any folder for which you have proper write permissions.
  3. For the Linux variant, run ./imgctrl.

    For the Windows variant, either run imgctrl.exe or install using the installer.
