Windows Event Viewer
The Windows Event Viewer utility shows a log of application and system
messages e.g. errors, information messages, and warnings. To launch the Event
Viewer, type Event Viewer into your
Start menu and press ENTER, or start the
Event Viewer from the Administrative Tools
directory. In the left pane of the Event Viewer window, expand the
Windows Logs category and then select the
Application entry under Windows Logs. The
pane on the right displays events logged by applications as shown below.

Custom views can be created and saved for later use as follows: click
Action on the menu bar and select Create Custom
View.

Specify the filter criteria in the Create Custom View window as shown
below in the figure: select . Select NapatechSoftwareSuite on the drop-down list
and click OK.

After specifying filter criteria, you need to specify a name and location for the custom
view. You can store the custom view in the Custom Views folder or any
of its subfolders by pressing the New Folder button.

The new custom view will be displayed by selecting its name in the console tree.

Event logs can also be archived as follows: right-click the log entry (the custom view or
the Application entry) and select Save All Events in
Custom View (or Save Filtered Log File As if the
Application entry was selected).

In the Save As window that opens as shown in the figure below, type
a name for the file, select the file format and click Save.

A supportinfo dump file which is created from the
supportinfo tool contains event logs from the Event
