Resolving all dependencies can be challenging when multiple applications run on a single system. Running multiple applications in containers provides the advantage of allowing each application, with different dependencies, to access the same driver running on the host system.
In this document
This document describes how to run SmartNICs with Napatech Link-Capture™ Software tools and applications
in a container. This document includes descriptions of:
- How to install docker.
- How to install and configure a container.
- How to run throughput in a container.
Note: In this document, it is assumed that the Napatech Link-Capture™ Software package is installed in
the default installation directory, /opt/napatech3/. If the Napatech Link-Capture™ Software package is installed
elsewhere, the correct installation directory must be used.
Note: The installation process is described on CentOS Stream 8 as an example. You must
adapt the installation process for other Linux distributions.
Note: All Napatech technical documents can also be found on
docs.napatech.com (the Napatech Documentation Portal), where you can search and
