Illustration
The NT200C01 SmartNIC consists of two NT100E3-1-PTP SmartNICs, which each has 3 time synchronization connectors (Ext1, Int1 and Int2) that can be configured separately for input or output (see Configuring the Time Synchronization Connectors and the Time Synchronization Time and Frequency Reference Priorities). In addition each NT100E3-1-PTP SmartNIC has two internal time synchronization connectors (Int3 and Int4) that are not supported. This figure shows an NT200C01 SmartNIC and the location of its time synchronization connectors.
Each of the external time synchronization connectors contains a robust SMA connector, which ensures a more secure interface connection.
Note: In order for the two NT100E3-1-PTP SmartNICs to function as an NT200C01 SmartNIC, one
of the internal time synchronization connectors on the NT100E3-1-PTP time synchronization
master must be connected to one of the internal time synchronization connectors on the
NT100E3-1-PTP time synchronization slave by a time synchronization cable, and the
connectors must be configured accordingly.
Note: If the NT200C01 SmartNIC is to be synchronized to an external reference, the external
time synchronization connector on the NT100E3-1-PTP time synchronization master must be
used.
