supportinfo

The supportinfo tool is used for debugging purposes to request support information from the system. The output is stored in the supportinfo-YYYY-MM-DD-hh-mm-ss file, where YYYY-MM-DD-hh-mm-ss is the year, month, day, hour, minutes, and seconds of the time the dump is made. The file extension will be .tar.gz for Linuxand FreeBSDand .log for windows.

The dump file produced by supportinfo contains essential information about the adapter(s), OS and logs, which is necessary for Napatech to provide the best possible support.

In case of problems, use the supportinfo tool to produce an information dump and deliver it to the Napatech support team together with a thorough description of the problem and how to reproduce it.
