Accessing the SoC on Napatech IPUs

Multiple interfaces

Napatech IPUs support multiple interfaces for accessing the SoC.

• The UART interface to the SoC of an IPU can be used for serial console access.

• As for accessing the SoC via the management port, it is connected to the SoC through the Intel® Ethernet controller I210 on an IPU.

• Additionally, the front bracket of an IPU provides the USB 3.0 port, which is available for external connectivity to the SoC. The USB 3.0 port supports all USB compatible devices.
