Breakout mode increases port density and allows high-speed ports of SmartNICs to interface with low-speed ports of the remote devices.
In this document
NT200A02 can be operated at 8 × 10 Gbit/s or 4 × 25/10 Gbit/s
using the breakout solutions. This document contains the following information for operating
NT200A02 at 8 × 10 Gbit/s and 4 × 25/10 Gbit/s:
- Specifications of the NT200A02 network interfaces.
- Installing pluggable modules and breakout cables.
- Verifying the link status.
Note: Both physical ports of the NT200A02 SmartNIC are used to run at 8 × 10 Gbit/s,
and one physical port (port 0) is used to run at 4 × 25/10 Gbit/s.
Note: Upgrade the
SmartNIC with the correct FPGA image to run NT200A02 at 8 × 10 Gbit/s or 4 × 25/10 Gbit/s.
For more information on how to upgrade the FPGA image, see Update the FPGA image in DN-1340.
