Auxiliary power connector

The auxiliary power connector must be used for providing additional power to the SmartNIC, if the motherboard cannot provide the required power. For electrical ratings, see Electrical rating.
  • NT400D11-SCC: The auxiliary power connector must be used only if the PCIe slot does not support 75 W.
  • NT400D13-SCC: The auxiliary power connector must always be used.

4-pin Molex power connector

The optional auxiliary power connector is a 4-pin Molex connector (Micro-Fit 43045-04).

Note: Used by the SmartNIC to detect if the auxiliary power connector is plugged. The sense pin in the connector must be connected to ground either directly in the power cabling or in the power supply.

Auxiliary power adapter cable

An auxiliary power adapter cable is attached to the NT400D13-SCC SmartNIC as shown in the following figure.

The cable includes a 6-pin male connector complies with the auxiliary power connector standardized for a Standard PCI Express 150W-ATX graphics card.
