Outer Arista Time-Stamp Classification

This only applies to the following SmartNICs.

• NT400D11 SmartNICs running on the 2 × 100 Gbit/s test and measurement image
• NT200A02 SmartNICs running on the 2 × 100 Gbit/s test and measurement image
• NT200A02 SmartNICs running on the 2 × 40 Gbit/s test and measurement image

The frame decoder identifies an Arista time-stamp frame if the following conditions are met:

• The EtherType field is 0xD28B.
• The SubType field is 0x0001.
• Version[5:4] is 0b01 for a 64-bit time stamp, or Version[5:4] is 0b10 for a 48-bit time stamp.

A maximum of three Arista time-stamp headers can be recognized, each potentially followed by a VLAN tag. See the decode flow of protocols.
