Definition

Warm boot is defined as a reboot event (or a hard-reset event using the reset button on the server chassis).

Description

When the server with the NT SmartNIC is warm-booted, no FPGA booting is performed, unless the SmartNIC is configured to switch image upon the next warm-boot event. The image error detection algorithm is the same as for cold-boot scenarios.
