It has been observed that transmit path delay on NT100A01 SmartNICs running on a 4 × 10/1 Gbit/s test and measurement image varies when transmit throughput is at full line rate. High jitter on the transmit path delay can be avoided by configuring the transmit rate limit on each port. This document describes how to configure the transmit rate limit and provides transmission time test results with/without the transmit rate limit configuration.
