This document describes how to install and run Snort with Napatech Link™ Capture Software, and how the multi-CPU distribution functionality improves performance in an IDS scenario.
The installation process is described using a source-based installation of Snort on CentOS as an example. You must adapt the installation process for package-based installation and for other Linux distributions.
