This chapter lists parameters and parameter values that were supported in the Green Bay 2 release but that are not supported for 4GA SmartNICs in the Link™ Capture Software 12.3 release. See DN-0449 for a complete list of ntservice.ini parameters in Link™ Capture Software 12.3.

Not supported parameters

These ntservice.ini parameters are not supported for 4GA SmartNICs in the Link™ Capture Software 12.3 release (see DN-0449):
  • HostBufferHandlerAffinity
  • PtpMasterModeAllowed
  • TimestampInjectOffset
  • TimeSyncTimeJumpThreshold
  • ConnectorInPTPClockClass
  • ConnectorInPTPClockAccuracy
  • ConnectorInPTPClockTimeSource
  • OSTimePTPClockClass
  • OSTimePTPClockAccuracy
  • OSTimePTPClockTimeSource
  • OSTimePTPClockTimeSource
  • TxTiming
  • IfgMode
Note: For NT200A02 SmartNICs running on test and measurement images, TimestampInjectOffset is replaced by TimestampInjectDynamicOffset and TimestampInjectStaticOffset.

If a parameter that is not supported for 4GA SmartNICs in Link™ Capture Software 12.3 is used for such a SmartNIC in an ntservice.ini file, the file is accepted but a warning states that the parameter is ignored.

Not supported parameter values

These ntservice.ini parameter values are not supported for 4GA SmartNICs in the Link™ Capture Software 12.3 release (see DN-0449):
  • Profile: Inline, CaptureReplay, TrafficGen
  • AdapterType: NT4E, NT20E, NT4E_STD, NTPORT4E, NT20E2, NT40E2_1, NT40E2_4, NT4E2_BP, NT4E2_PTP, NT20E2_PTP
  • PacketDescriptor: Ext7, Ext8
  • TimestampFormat: NATIVE, NATIVE_NDIS
  • TimeSyncConnectorExt1: NttsIn, NttsOut
    Note: These values can be used for backwards compatibility, but they are not fully supported.
  • TimeSyncClockAdjustmentMode: 1
Note: If a parameter value that is not supported for 4GA SmartNICs in Link™ Capture Software 12.3 is used for such an SmartNIC in an ntservice.ini file, the file is not accepted.
