Local retransmit and line loopback enables frames received on a network port to be retransmitted without involving the host CPU.
In this chapter
This chapter describes the local retransmission and the line loopback functionality.
- Local retransmission enables frames received on one or more network ports to be retransmitted to one network port on the same accelerator without involving the host CPU.
- Local retransmission with embedded time stamp appends a high precision time stamp from the capture port to retransmitted frames, enabling load distribution to time stamp critical applications downlink.
- Line loopback enables frames received on a network port to be retransmitted to the same network port without involving the host CPU.
