Monitoring tool

You can use the monitoring tool to see whether the Ethernet links are up or down on each port. The following is a sample output from the monitoring tool on Linux.

# /opt/napatech3/bin/monitoring

Output:

Run the monitoring tool

The monitoring tool is under the installation directory on Windows e.g. C:\Program Files\Napatech3\bin. You can run the monitoring tool on Windows as shown in the command example below.

C:\Program Files\Napatech3\bin>monitoring

If Ethernet link is down

If the Ethernet link is down, even if the cable is connected to another Ethernet device, it means that the Ethernet connection is not established. Please check the cables, any connected Ethernet devices, pluggable modules etc.

The monitoring tool is also used to monitor port statistics, sensors, color statistics, time synchronization and stream statistics.

Please see DN-0449 for more details about the monitoring tool.
