In this section

This section describes how to specify the limit for when a SmartNIC is in NT-TS synchronization.

NT-TS in-synchronization limit

The TimeSyncNTTSInSyncLimit parameter specifies the range in ns in which a SmartNIC is considered to be in NT-TS synchronization. The NtTimeSyncGlobalStatus parameter in the information stream shows the status. An event is generated when the status changes.

Select a value for TimeSyncNTTSInSyncLimit according to the expected and acceptable stability of the reference.

ntservice.ini code lines

The syntax for the ntservice.ini code lines specifying the limit for when a SmartNIC is in NT-TS synchronization is:

'TimeSyncNTTSInSyncLimit' '=' ( '1' |  '2' |  '3' |  ... | '0xFFFFFFFF' )

Example:

TimeSyncNTTSInSyncLimit=2500

Default value

This table shows the default value.

Parameter Default Value
TimeSyncNTTSInSyncLimit 5000
